SS CRESCENT HOOP WITH TINY GARDEN DETAIL, OLD OLIVE

Crescent hoop, enameled and accented with millefiori flower wafers, creating a tiny garden in glass. 

Copper crescent circle has glass fused to it using a torch, resulting in a smooth, glassy finish.

1.5 x 1.5” circle size.

Wire is sterling silver. 

Enamel is glass fused to metal. I heat copper shapes with a torch and dip the hot metal into superfine crushed glass. The piece is then returned to the heat to complete the fusing process. This process is repeated several times until the color is rich and even. 

Tiny millefiori wafers are placed on the hot enamel. As the heat travels through the pice, the wafers melt into tiny flowers.
